AI for construction companies and contractors

For construction companies, general and turnkey contractors, SAITS automates the work between tender and final invoice, from the bill of quantities to the filed delivery note.

Starting point

Building happens on site, admin happens in the office

In between lie searching for documents, sorting e-mail, checking invoices, copying information and chasing things up.

Tenders and bills of quantities are screened by hand, reports and photos are filed after the fact, variations and costs are tracked by hand. Those are the places where the week disappears.

Processes

What SAITS automates for construction companies

Bills of quantities, variationsread and tracked

  1. Tenders and bills of quantities

Today: Portals are searched by hand, bills of quantities read page by page.

With SAITS: Tenders are found, bills of quantities read out and relevant items marked.

  2. Bid and estimate

Today: Quantities and items are retyped from the bill of quantities into the estimate.

With SAITS: Quantities and items flow straight into the estimate; the bid is ready as a draft.

  3. Site and defects

Today: Photos, defects and site diaries sit on phones, in emails and on paper.

With SAITS: Photos, defects and the site diary are captured automatically and assigned to the project.

  4. Variations and costs

Today: Variations, hours and material costs only add up to a full picture late on.

With SAITS: Budgets, variations, hours and material are kept current in one overview.

  5. Invoices and receipts

Today: Invoices and delivery notes are checked one by one and filed by hand.

With SAITS: Invoices and delivery notes are recognised, checked against the order and filed.

Project management

Project management in construction

Projects are led in meetings and documented in between. For project managers we automate these five processes.

Tasks, deadlinescaptured and tracked

  1. Tasks and responsibilities

Today: Who does what by when is scattered across emails, chats and minutes.

With SAITS: Tasks from meetings, emails and documents are captured and assigned to the right person.

  2. Dates and deadlines

Today: Deadlines are tracked by hand; reminders depend on individual people.

With SAITS: Milestones and dependencies are monitored; reminders go out automatically.

  3. Status reports

Today: The weekly status is rebuilt from several sources every time.

With SAITS: The project status is compiled from all systems and prepared as a report.

  4. Documents and information

Today: Finding the current version of a document costs time and follow-up questions.

With SAITS: Documents, decisions and minutes are in one place and findable in their current version.

  5. Risks and variances

Today: Delays and open items only become visible when time is already short.

With SAITS: Delays, open items and budget variances are spotted early and reported.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

01Which tender and bill-of-quantity formats can the workflow read?

That depends on your documents. Which bill-of-quantity formats occur in your business, and whether and how they can be read, is settled in the company analysis before anything is built.

02Can our ERP or controlling be connected?

Yes. We connect existing systems, for example SAP, Abacus, Salesforce or HubSpot, and any other system with an interface (API).

03Who decides on variations and defects?

You do. What is submitted at what price, which variation is pursued and when a defect is accepted is your decision alone. The workflow prepares and documents.

04What does it cost to start?

The company analysis costs CHF 2'490 · 2'600 €, the analysis with the first workflow in production CHF 4'900 · 5'200 €. Ongoing support costs from CHF 800 · from 800 € per month. All prices net, plus VAT.

05How soon does the first workflow run?

Our target is a first workflow in production within about four weeks. That is based on experience, not a promise for your case.
